We are often asked, "What is the BEST mattress?" That question is impossible to answer. The answer is subjective; what is best for ME may not be best for YOU. That is why there are so many options, to match our individual uniqueness. With so many options, shopping for your next bed can get overwhelming; especially when shopping online (because you can't feel those fluffy squares through the screen). We all have a different challenge to overcome with our sleep, so finding the best fit for you and not just generic "Americas Top Selling Mattress" is essential to an overall happier and healthier life. Here are a few guides to help you get started. We truly hope they can help solve your individual need.. but ultimately, we encourage you to visit one of our stores closest to you so that you can experience each product as if it was in your home.
Many of us are plagued with back issues. Whether it's from hard physical employment or long days in an office chair, we can't seem to escape back pain! Although we recommend to check with your chiropractor or therapist for confirmation, most will agree that a more supportive mattress is best. Stick with firmer options so you don't end up looking like a banana.
The hips and shoulders, although wonderfully designed to move in 360 degree motions, take on constant abuse. Over time the joint wears out and can become sensitive to pressure. We recommend a mattress with a forgiving top layer to avoid adding too much pressure to those sensitive spots. Try a medium memory foam or hybrid mattress, maybe even a traditional pillow top.
Memory foam; you've heard both "It's the worst ever, never again!" and "It's the best bed I've ever had!" .. so which is it? That depends. If you need tremendous pressure point relief, an all foam bed may work well for you. If you have issues with mobility however, a foam bed may be difficult to get in and out of, as well as to adjust into different positions throughout the night.
Said to be the "best of both worlds," hybrid mattresses combine traditional coil based support with modern foam technology. Hybrid mattresses are available in a wide range of firmness levels and have proven to be one of the best solutions for many customers. They provide the pressure relief of a foam bed with the added support of coils.
